We add our shared mailboxes as accounts (not automapping) in Outlook but I read that you can't use 'Send on Behalf' with shared mailboxes. My testing seems to agree with this when using Outlook for Windows but Outlook for Mac doesn't seem to follow the same rules even when the shared mailbox is added as an account. Just like in Windows.
